“I know it was a VERY tough one this time, but we managed to pull off a stonking show and event. Many long hours, weeks and days went into this event. I am so thankful for your patience with it all. You are all fantastic people and I am so, so proud of what we all achieved. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant…”
1. THE BRIEF
Perception took on the principle production role for the Audi Dealer Forum. The forum, held at the NEC in Birmingham, was for 700 of their dealers and would focus on their brand plan. There was also the big reveal of 4 EOS (end of secrecy) cars to raise excitement. Our brief was to take Hall 12 at the NEC and split it into multiple areas. These areas were a welcome corridor, drinks reception, arena, and dining area. The areas had to follow Audi’s brand identity and conform to the highest standard.
2. THE PREFACE
It was a five-and-a-half day build for an event that consisted of a 2-hour presentation. Jon Bentley choreographed the stunning visual representation of the future of Audi.
3. THE EVENT
All delegates registered at 5 pm. They signed NDA’s, handed in their cameras and surrendered their mobile phones. Perception built a bespoke solution for this process. All 700 people registered successfully in 30 minutes.
Once registration was complete, the guests walked through the custom Audi corridor. Arriving at the drinks reception area, they had a welcome drink and then went through to the main arena.
The show began at 5:45 pm and concluded with a choreographed ‘car ballet’ finale at 7:45 pm. Now, guests had the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the new production cars. We put up a 48m x 6m high single-surface high-gain screen. The projection was via 10 double stacked HD18K projectors. This created the UK’s largest full HD screen. The lighting rig was designed around the 11m revolving state, while 4 car camps led the cars on to the main stage. For the audio, we used a Functional, 5.1 surround sound system.
Guests then went through to the dining area for a scrumptious meal.
4. THE FEEDBACK
“Best dealer presentation ever given; and that includes central ones. Messaging was crystal clear. Even hard messages delivered really well. All presenters delivered with real conviction and belief. Production values brilliant; the two hours really flew by…”
“What more can I add other than a massive thanks – what a team!!”
“You know I am a cynical old…(!), I have to say that was the best dealer presentation I have ever seen!” Nothing more to add!”

“The end result of the Audi Dealer Forum was really was fantastic and we have had great feedback from all concerned. I know there were some very long hours for us all. Thanks especially for everyone’s dedication, patience and commitment.”
