1. THE BRIEF

Caribtours, the luxury travel company, asked Perception to produce their awards ceremony to celebrate their travel agents and partners alike at the illustrious & historic Claridges Hotel.

2. THE PREFACE

Working with Paul and his team is always one of the highlights of the year, literally! He is a man that knows what he wants and we like that. Paul loves big, bold and beautiful colours that compliment that year travel catalogue, Pinks; blues and purples are pushed to their limits in a festival of colour and amazement so working with the right technicians is key. The main changes each year surround the stage backdrop, not wanting to detract from the awards themselves we don’t use any screens thus require a beautiful backdrop that maintains the attention for the duration of the event.

3. THE EVENT

Entry light state up and show ready at 18:30, techs in position ready for Pauls introduction at 19:30 and the awards follow the lovely dinner at 21:30. Being on point for the stings and lighting changes are key to the success of the event and every year we walk away head held high knowing success has been achieved. The only obstacle of the event, is only being able to load out from the ballroom through the mirror room when the guests have all departed, which isn’t really a hardship at the Claridges.

5. THE FEEDBACK

2016 was another successful year for Caribtours and the awards show itself. Although it was the 7th year, it is our job to treat their event with the same care and attention as if it was the first, ensuring they get the best possible service.
