1. THE BRIEF
To provide technical and logistical consultation and support to Events in the Sky on their 2017 Roadshow in Glasgow, London, Newcastle, Bristol and Southampton.
2. THE PREFACE
Events in the sky is a unique & innovative dining experience – in the sky. A 22-seater dinning platform hoisted up to 35m where you can enjoy either breakfast; lunch; afternoon tea; dinner or drinks in the sky.
The experience is a one of a kind way to dine, with the very finest restaurants bringing their menu’s and dining experiences our unique sky table. The table seats 22 guests, with a guest chef, Sommelier and waiting team serving from the pop-up kitchen in the centre of the table in the sky. Guests are securely fastened into their seats before the table is raised to the dining height of 100 feet and their gourmet experience begins.
3. THE EVENT
Health & safety were at the forefront of our thinking and approach when it came to delivering an experience like this. We started by consulting with Events In The Sky and their chosen venues to ensure that all their requirements were available such as power, water and plumbing. If these were not available, we would need to design and install the specified requirements.
Once the plans were approved, installing the site began with the two marquees. The largest of these is the 24m x 6m hospitality marquee and also the smaller 12m x 6m kitchen marquee. We then positioned the two containers. Once all build work was done and created, with the exclusion around the table, we ran all cabling; power, plumbing, fencing, branding, lighting and installed all of the kitchen appliances and fridges.
Now there was just the small matter of getting the crane ready and going up for a test flight.
4. THE FEEDBACK
Events in the sky is a great client to work with and we look forward to supporting them again in the future.
