Our innovative approach to enhancing brands and improving consumer communications has seen us installing video walls into a shop front to managing a full road show for a world famous cigarette brand.
We don’t just specialise for any particular type of client, we simply specialise in technical event production. That’s why, swiftly dispensing with the road show and video-wall examples now, we were particularly excited to have the pleasure of providing a technical solution for the sports news giant SportsPro Media.
Perception would be instrumental in delivering the audio visual elements for their second-ever annual conference that counted the IAAF (international association of athletics federations), British Rowing and the Chairman of the PGA European Tour among the attendees.
SportsPro Media, a market-leading global provider of sports industry news and analysis, approached Perception for a solid technical AV setup that reflected their triumphant return to the Emirates Stadium.
The 12th of March would be their second annual conference that presented to, and included discussions conducted by, a multitude of highly respected speakers from multiple sporting organisations.
With an audience of world-famous attendees including representatives of WME | IMG and Sport England, Perception were ready to go the distance.
Making a stadium-sized event more intimate
We knew that the size of the venue would be a critical factor that dramatically affected how the acoustics of the event played out.
Although the scale of the conference was large, it was imperative that the audience would feel connected on a personal level. Priding ourselves on our ability to configure optimum environments that ensure communicational clarity for any audience member, from those at the front of the room to those right at the back, we set to work.
Due to the difficult audio acoustics presented by the Stadium, the Perception creative team designed and rolled out unique audio layout that guaranteed a consistent level of clear audio across each room.
For creating a visual setup that would match the intimacy of the audio, we employed one of our favourite and most powerful projectors: a 14,500 lumens Barco RLM-W14 with a 1.87 – 2.56 lens.
Having used it in vast interiors before, from museums to theatres, we relied on its crisp images and minimal noise. Despite its superior three chip digital light processing technology, the unit runs on a voltage of 110V – 240V and hardly makes a sound.
For putting the finishing touches to the visual setup, we hung a 20 ft projection screen that was flown in an appropriately grand fashion between two pillars.
The overall project was commissioned and completed effectively with positive feedback from the client.
