Texas performs one of the most intimate shows of their career

We are huge fans of live events and music as you can imagine, so when we were approached by Amazon D1 Creative, the internal creative agency for Amazon, we were happy to put together a proposal and design for an exclusive Amazon Prime Live Event.

Headliners, Texas, were performing at the spectacular Porchester Hall in London and the show was one of the most intimate shows of the band’s extensive career, giving fans the unique opportunity to ask the band questions during a pre-gig Q&A hosted by journalist Craig McLean.

Situated in the beautiful area of Bayswater in London, Porchester Hall is a venue that simultaneously manages to be both grand and incredibly intimate. Classically art-deco in design, the hall has played host to artists such as Amy Winehouse and Ed Sheeran, as well being a filming location for Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life.

The concept of the shoot for for marketing material to promote live music, more specifically for Amazon Tickets which was recently launched in the UK. Amazon D1 Creative were looking to shoot a night-time still of the hall which will be used online to sit behind the artist event Amazon are promoting.

Perception provided a full lighting package for the hall, including 8x Chauvet R2 spots, 6x Chauvet R2 Washs’ and a large number of wireless GDS uplighters for washing the columns at Porchester with a cool blue.

The overall shoot was a great success and can now be seen in Amazons marketing material.
